Introducing the December Issue

Welcome to The Vintage Gun Journal, your free-to-view monthly magazine for all things British gun and rifle.

The countdown to Christmas has begun, with plenty of auctions to keep us entertained in the lead-up. With Bonham's just gone and Southam's, Gavin Gardiner and Holt's ahead, there are still plenty of opportunities to buy yourself a Christmas present.

Here, we are knee-deep in puppies but they are due to go in a few days, bar the two Vizsla puppies I'm keeping. So, plenty of training ahead of us in the months to come to look forward to.

The shooting season is in full swing and I was pleased to host Simon Reinhold at my little syndicate this week, no doubt impressing him with my two-barrelled miss of the first bird of the day; a woodcock which came out of the sun and took me by surprise!

In this issue, we have some action-packed adventure from Down-Under, by Explora shooter Stephen Barnes and, doubtless, some patents not-often seen by many readers, nicely pictured and examined.

Next time I write it will be 2022. So, I wish you all a Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year and thank you all for your support.
